Are you a trading company or a direct manufacturing factory?

CHENGDU CONLIN MACHINERY CO., LTD (CONLIN) is a direct source factory located in Chengdu, China. We handle raw material sourcing, CNC machining, heat treatment, profile grinding, and final quality inspection entirely in our own workshop.

What materials do you use to ensure wear and corrosion resistance?

We select metallurgy based on your specific processing environment. Our materials include M2 high-speed steel (W6Mo5Cr4V2), premium tool steels, bimetallic liners, and imported powder metallurgy (PM) HIP sintered alloys designed for heavy wear from glass fibers or mineral fillers.

Can you make parts based on our physical samples if we don't have drawings?

Yes. We offer comprehensive reverse-engineering services. You can ship worn or sample parts to our plant, and our technical team will measure pitch, profile, spline, and key dimensions using CMM tools to build accurate CAD drawings for production.

Do you accept custom OEM or ODM orders?

Yes. We support custom manufacturing based on your CAD prints as well as ODM modifications. If you require special screw stacking sequences or altered element angles to solve mixing or melt temperature issues, our team can customize the design for your process.

What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

We maintain flexible MOQs. We accept small orders for single replacement elements or shafts to help plant maintenance teams handle urgent repairs. For regular batch orders or full-set machinery replacement, we offer source-factory volume pricing.

How do you guarantee part tolerances and fit before shipping?

Every production batch undergoes strict quality control. We measure dimensions, pitch clearances, and surface hardness using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and digital hardness testers. We guarantee that replacement components drop directly into your existing machinery without on-site fitting.

What are your typical production lead times and shipping options?

Standard replacement parts usually ship within 2 to 3 weeks after order confirmation, while custom components or large batch orders take 3 to 5 weeks depending on material availability and heat treatment cycles. We ship globally via sea, air, or express courier (DHL/TNT/FedEx) with export packaging.

How do you protect our proprietary screw designs and engineering drawings?

Intellectual property security is a strict standard at CONLIN. We routinely sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) before receiving client drawings, sample parts, or custom compounding formulas. Your technical data and customized profile designs are kept strictly confidential and used solely for your dedicated manufacturing orders.

What material solutions do you recommend for processing highly corrosive polymers like PTFE, PVDF, or acidic resins?

For corrosive environments where halogen-free flame retardants or fluoropolymers release acidic gases, standard tool steels degrade rapidly. We manufacture screw elements and barrel liners using Nickel-based superalloys (such as Hastelloy equivalents), high-chromium stainless tool steels, and specialized corrosion-resistant bimetallic alloys to ensure long surface integrity.

What advice do you offer for disassembling stuck or heavily carbonized screw elements?

Screw element seizing usually results from thermal degradation or resin infiltration into shaft splines. We provide thermal expansion and cleaning guidelines for maintenance teams, recommending proper purge compounds, anti-seize high-temp lubricants, and controlled heating procedures to remove stubborn elements without damaging the core shaft splines.

Do you supply heating and cooling accessories for twin-screw extruder barrels?

Yes. In addition to barrel bodies and liners, we supply matching cast aluminum, cast copper, and ceramic heater bands, as well as cooling water jacket accessories. These components ensure uniform heat transfer and precise temperature control along each barrel zone during high-temperature extrusion.

Can we sign an annual supply agreement to hold safety stock for our factory?

Absolutely. For high-volume compounders and machinery maintenance departments, we offer scheduled blanket purchase orders and safety stocking arrangements. We manufacture and hold your frequently replaced screw elements or shafts in our warehouse, releasing shipments on demand so you can maintain zero-inventory maintenance without long lead times.
